Title Phase Diagrams of Earth’s Material
Course aims and objectives This course discusses the fundamental process of Free energy, phase equilibria (binary and ternary) in igneous systems and effects of volatiles on melt equilibria comparison with recent experimental results (hydrous and CO2 systems).

I will discuss the following topics in detail
SIMPLE BINARY SYSTEMS WITH NO SOLID SOLUTION,
BINARY SYSTEMS WITH BINARY COMPOUNDS,
BINARY SYSTEMS WITH LIQUID IMMISCIBILITY,
COMPLEX BINARY SYSTEMS WITH NO SOLID SOLUTION,
BINARY SYSTEMS WITH COMPLETE SOLID SOLUTION,
BINARY SYSTEMS WITH LIQUIDUS PASSING THROUGH A MINIMUM,
SIMPLE TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH CONGRUENTLY MELTING PHASES WITH NO SOLID SOLUTION,
TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH CONGRUENTLY MELTING BINARY PHASES,
TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH AN INCONGRUENTMELTING BINARY PHASE,
TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH LIQUID IMMISCIBILITY,
TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH ONE BINARY SOLID SOLUTION WITHOUT A MINIMUM,
TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH ONE BINARY SOLID SOLUTION WITH A MINIMUM,
TERNARY SYSTEMS WITH MORE THAN ONE SOLID SOLUTION SERIES.

The course aims to provide students with experience in mineralogy, phase diagrams as a tool for evaluating properties of important minerals which is found at Earth’s interior. Based on this information, I will discuss structure, dynamics and evolution of the Earth.
